The
Marriott's Seaview Resort Bay Course is one half of a pair of courses that define New Jersey golf. Located only 10 minutes from Atlantic City, these courses offer beautiful surroundings, challenging playability and a truly wonderful experience.
Seaview
Marriott's Bay Course is a 18-hole, par 71 championship golf course spanning nearly 6,300 yards. Designed by Donald Ross, it opened in 1914 and is the best known of two courses at the Seaview Marriott Resort. The Bay Course is challenging enough to be a regular stop for the prestigious ShopRite LPGA Classic. Its colorful history also includes hosting the 1942 PGA Championship.
The course features classic mounding, tall grasses guarding deep-pot and high faced-bunkers, and small greens with subtle undulations. Winds from the Atlantic Ocean dramatically influence the course's overall playability - particularly at the course's Signature Hole, Hole #2, a 432-yard par 4 which plays directly toward the ocean.
Among the praises the
Seaview Mariott Resort's courses have earned: "4 Stars" for both courses in Golf Digest’s
"Places to Play;" a "Silver
Medal" for the third time in Golf Magazine; "Top 100
Women-Friendly Courses in North America" for the fourth straight year in
Golf For Women Magazine; "Top 20 Golf Resorts in the World"
by Vacations Ownership T&L Golf Magazine; and ranked third on T&L Golf
Magazine’s list of "World’s Best Golf Resorts in the Midwest,
Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic." Also located on the resort are the Faldo
Golf Institute and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa.
After more than half a century, the layout stands the test of time and still provides a significant test to modern golfers.
