Seaview Marriott Resort & Spa
4 Stars, Bay & Pines Course: Golf Digest’s
"Places to Play"
Since 1912, Seaview Marriott Resort &
Spa has been setting the standard for excellence in golf. This world-class resort
features superior accommodations and unmatched recreational facilities amidst 670 acres
of pristine woodlands. It continues to receive recognition for outstanding service and
unforgettable golf.
The resort serves up two 18-hole, par 71
championship courses – each a modern-day treat with a colorful history.
Host of the prestigious ShopRite LPGA
Classic, the 6,247-yard Bay Course was designed by the renowned Donald Ross.
Modifications over the years had obscured Ross’ original vision, until the resort
completed a $1 million renovation to restore his original 1912 classic links
design.
Designed by Toomey & Flynn, the
6,731-yard Pines Course carves into the pine-filled woodlands surrounding the resort,
featuring rich bentgrass, deep shading with natural sunlight, narrow fairways and well
protected landing areas.
Among the praises the resort has earned:
"4 Stars" for both courses in Golf Digest’s
"Places to Play;" a "Silver
Medal" for the third time in Golf Magazine; "Top 100
Women-Friendly Courses in North America" for the fourth straight year in
Golf For Women Magazine; "Top 20 Golf Resorts in the World"
by Vacations Ownership T&L Golf Magazine; and ranked third on T&L Golf
Magazine’s list of "World’s Best Golf Resorts in the Midwest,
Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic." Also located on the resort are the Faldo
Golf Institute and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. |
